Huron Consulting Group Continues Expansion of Healthcare Business
CHICAGO, Aug 29, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Michael Cadwell and Andrew Schramm have joined the Company as managing directors in its Huron Healthcare practice. Cadwell will help clients manage and reduce their non-labor costs while Schramm will focus on driving labor productivity for hospitals and health centers.
"Market conditions for our healthcare clients are becoming increasingly challenging," said Gordon Mountford, executive vice president, Huron Healthcare. "Declining hospital margins, reductions in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and the need to anticipate healthcare reform are all impacting hospitals. Michael and Andy's backgrounds, focusing on managing cost and quality, will be instrumental in helping our clients navigate the new healthcare marketplace."

At Huron Healthcare, he will focus on cost savings related to goods and services through price negotiation, product selection, standardization, and utilization management. Cadwell works collaboratively with providers to implement strategies, processes and technology for enhancing quality and reducing costs.
Schramm draws on more than 25 years of experience helping a variety of organizations develop and implement labor productivity improvement programs. At Huron Healthcare, he will work with healthcare clients to optimize efficiencies through the improvement of business processes and resource management to drive bottom-line performance improvement.
