Huron Consulting Group Board Names Holdren Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
CHICAGO – November 8, 2004 – Huron Consulting Group Inc. (NASDAQ: HURN) today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Gary E. Holdren Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Holdren had served as Huron Consulting Group’s President and Chief Executive Officer since May 2004. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Huron Consulting Services LLC, Huron’s operating subsidiary, and as President of the operating subsidiary since Huron commenced operations in May 2002.
Holdren, 54, has more than 30 years of experience consulting with corporations and legal counsels on complex financial and business matters as well as extensive experience serving as an expert witness. He has extensive consulting experience in international tax, antitrust and corporate civil damages and has testified as an accounting and industry expert in federal tax court and federal district courts.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Cowboy Dreams, a Chicago-area charitable organization. He also serves on the executive committee and board of directors of The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, and is a member of the Business Advisory Council of the Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University-Ohio. Holdren is a certified public accountant.
