Huron Consulting Group Adds Telecommunications Expert to Economic Consulting Group
CHICAGO - December 19, 2006 - Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced that Dr. Timothy J. Tardiff joined the Company's Economic Consulting group as a managing director.

With more than 30 years of academic and consulting experience, Dr. Tardiff has participated in numerous legal and regulatory proceedings regarding telecommunications, economics, anti-trust, and regulation issues. He has evaluated pricing policies for increasingly competitive telecommunications markets. Dr. Tardiff has experience in developing and assessing approaches to calculating economic damages in cases involving alleged antitrust violations, contract disputes, and securities claims. His work has included the telecommunications, transportation, energy, and public utility industries, and he has published extensively in economics and telecommunications journals.
Prior to joining Huron, Dr. Tardiff served as a vice president in the telecommunications practice at NERA Economic Consulting. During his career, he has served as the director of Marketing Research at Charles River Associates, Inc. and assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering of Environmental Studies at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Tardiff received his PhD in Social Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and his BS in Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology.
Dr. Tardiff, who is based in the Company's Boston office, will also be actively involved with Huron's Academic Council. The Council is comprised of economics, accounting, and finance professors from nationally acclaimed universities. Council members provide commentary on matters of importance in economic litigation and related academic research. They also work with Huron to provide expert testimony in economic litigation.
