Huron Consulting Group Adds Healthcare Operations and Compliance Expert
CHICAGO - July 31, 2006 - Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced that Irene Torino, RN, has joined the Company's Healthcare Provider practice as a managing director specializing in healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and litigation support.

With more than 20 years of healthcare experience in operational consulting, management, and direct patient care, Torino helps healthcare clients improve operations, comply with regulations, and manage litigation. She has delivered performance improvement plans, regulatory compliance assessments, and corporate integrity agreements. Torino's experience spans a variety of healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rehabilitation facilities, and physician organizations.
Torino comes to Huron from Navigant Consulting, where she was a managing director of Healthcare Services and the national leader of the Risk Mitigation and Compliance practice. She received her Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Florida and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American Health Information Management Association. Torino, who resides in Nashville, will be based in Huron's Chicago office.
